In many parts of the world, especially in poorer, less stable countries, receiving even the most basic education is not a given. According to a recent Pew Research Center report, roughly one-in-five adults (19%) around the globe have no formal schooling at all.  Even more discouraging is the fact that these women are more likely to have no schooling than men.     Nearly 23% of women are uneducated, compared with 14% of the men around the globe. In the Middle East-North Africa and sub-Saharan Africa, roughly half of adult women have not been to school for even a year.     According to information shared by the organization, Girls Opportunity Alliance, more than 98 million adolescent girls around the world who do not attend school.     Here at DisruptU  YOUniversity, we place a high value on education and strength building in girls.  We believe that the more opportunities girls get through education, mentorships, coaching, training and critical thinking, the stronger they become and the stronger our economies and communities and the world becomes as a whole.     That’s why here at DisruptU YOUniversity, through a division of the YOUniversity we call The 3G Project: Growing Great Girls, we will donate a percentage of each bootcamp enrollment fee towards agencies and causes that work to build great girls and in the end, help them to become strong, brave women.     We look forward to partnering with agencies and causes that take take action to help grow great girls, build strong women worldwide.
